I WAS under the impression that there is free parking in Bolton on Sunday when I went to the King Street car park at the back of Deansgate.

However, I noticed someone else was paying last Sunday, so I decided to go over to check that this is correct.

There is no notice on the board stating that parking on Sunday is free, so if it is free, this should be clearly stated on the board.

Perhaps this omission applies to other car parks, in which case it should be made clear, especially as more people may be coming into Bolton for Christmas shopping.
