Reader's letter.
A SHORT item in the Bolton News on Wednesday, January 11 (“Appeal to be bowled over”) said the Bolton Park Veterans’ League was looking for experienced bowlers over 60-years-old to strengthen two competition squads based at Longsight Bowling Club in Harwood.
In fact, the appeal is from the Longsight club only and does not, as could be assumed, involve any separate league squads based here in sunny Harwood. The Bolton Parks Veterans’ League features teams playing at council greens all over town. We have two teams in the A section and one in the B section. Alan Calvert
