Re the story: "Headstones lost in overgrown graveyard' February 15. My father in law is also in Deane.

We have had the same problem over the years with it being overgrown. We have bought a petrol strimmer to clear a pathway through which I do twice a year or more.

In the past before Rev Terry Clark's time they had people who were serving community service to work on the grounds.

Very shortly after the passing of my father-in-law my wife visited his grave only to receive wolf whistles and rude remarks from them.

As you can imagine she was very upset from this. I put a complaint in about it only to be told " I will have a word ".

My father is buried at a cemetery in Salford and it is in pristine condition. Such a shame for Deane.
