NEXT Thursday, June 8, Britain goes to the polls. Its result will fashion our future for several generations.

Many political thinkers and analysts have endeavoured to alter the Brexit result. Their ideas form a worrying aspect of modern thinking and one we should all be concerned about.

The House of Lords wanted to amend article 50, the Liberals want another vote, the SNP want stop in the E.U. and are prepared to break the Union.

The Labour party want a watered down version and Mrs May has risked all by going to the polls to give herself a stronger hand in Parliament. These are the people we are supposed to trust to run our country. All want to alter the goal posts after the Brexit result.

The Brexit result was about one thing and one thing only, bringing democracy back to Britain. It was returned by a democratic vote, the outcome, majority rules.

Those people who cannot play by the democratic rules should emigrate, perhaps to Europe.
