I DON’T think I have ever seen an election were economics has played such an insignificant role, maybe its because Labour are not even on the pitch.

I may have had many disagreements with Ed Balls but no one doubted he understood economics and how a modern economy works with its fine balance between incentives and taxation.

Jeremy Corbyn’s spending commitments are predicated on you believing that 2+2 = 22. No attempt has been made to match taxation revenue with spending commitments. How do you engage with a party that has gone from Keynesian economics to Venezuelan economics?

They have gone from talking about the importance of business to trashing it at every available opportunity. Good public services that we all want are dependent on running a successful economy, there is no other way to pay the bills.

Labour if elected on Thursday will trash the economy, with devastating effects on those most dependent on public services.
