I HAVE read with interest the current ongoing planning wheeze, and after seeing the palatial houses built on the open site off Chorley Old Road, Horwich, what a complete eyesore. The houses are wonderful, but stand out like a sore hand (more than a thumb!)
It is unbelievable that in this day and age it would seem that you can change size (Up) and position and then say they have been sold — I didn't think that could happen as solicitors need to see the planning permission?
Goodness knows what the planning department comes up with when they are up against Peel Holdings for the Championship Golf Course at Over Hulton, not to mention the hundreds of houses. Perhaps they will be able to use the M61 as a car park.
Councillor Morris states he has listened to the people about Bolton One and the money being spent, well I am shocked and stunned to rake up another old chestnut, what happened to the 80,000+ that signed the Market Hall petition. I never write to complain but the current trend
is somewhat annoying.
