WHEN Elvis died me and my wife were sat in the comfort of our home awaiting the birth of our second child.

My wife was a couple of days overdue and had no signs of the imminent birth, however all that changed when during a News at Ten broadcast Reginald Bosanquet uttered those never to be forgotten words "we are hearing reports that the legendary king of rock and roll has been found dead."

We both jointly let out a sigh of 'what!'

My wife jolted with the shock news, and started in labour in the early hours of the following morning. We went to hospital the following day and my son was born in the early hours of August 18. Needless to say my initial wish was that he should be named Elvis but after much persuasion we named him Craig and he celebrates his 40th birthday on August, 18.
