IT has been my privilege to have known Joan Egerton for many years. "
She was such a kind and thoughtful lady and never showed any bitterness at the death of her son.
As the mother of a serving police officer, my biggest worry is for his safety whilst doing his job. Joan was courageous and had great dignity in the face of such sorrow. She must have been an inspiration to many other families facing the death of a loved one. She will be sadly missed and long remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this sad time.
