VERY sadly, almost everyone at some stage in their lives will experience cancer either personally or within close family.
On Saturday April 21, Her Majesty The Queen’s 92nd birthday, my Eagley Band, Smithills Community musicians, singers and I hope to raise a huge £5,000 for Christie’s Hospital from performing a single concert in the Victoria Hall.
Over 35 years, we have collectively raised tens of thousands of pounds for Bolton Hospice, Help For Heroes, the RNLI, Bolton Lions, Bolton Rotary and The Mayor of Bolton’s Charity but now it is the turn of the magnificent Christie’s Hospital for the very first time, a unique hospital not only in the UK but throughout Europe.
The Christie treats 44,000 patients every year within a catchment of 3.2 million North West residents.
I do hope the kind, generous and amazingly supportive people of Bolton will once again come out of their homes for our Christie’s Hospital concert.
We will be celebrating the 50th birthday of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the iconic music of Thunderbirds, the Back To The Future films and so much more.
Thank you.

Musical Director
