JUST when we think society in this country couldn't sink any lower, we hear of this latest worrying trend of increased vandalism in our cemeteries.

The culprits can only be children and teenagers with nothing better to do, knowing they will get away with it under the current anti-social behaviour legislation.

This sick activity should be up graded to criminal behaviour and those caught doing it should be punished severely and made to repair the damage as part of their punishment.

Other than sealing off the grave yards with fencing and gates and installing more CCTV cameras, it is difficult to predict how this blight on our society can be eliminated.
