BOLTON and District Trades Council is dismayed that of the eight who voted in favour of billionaire developer Peel Holdings and against ordinary people, in an eight-to-seven-vote, seven of the eight were Labour Cllrs.
We feel that these councillors should have stood with, and been on side of people, and not Peel Holdings.
The Ryder Cup golf course is just a red herring, and of the 1,000 initial homes planned, none will be much-needed affordable, social houses.
Furthermore we believe brownfield sites are where houses should be built.
The campaign of opposition will continue!
