IS Cllr Chadwick on the same planet as the rest of the Bolton road users?

Perhaps he should take a ride round the forgotten land of Horwich.

If you want to quote national statistics, how about this: in the past 10 years, the incidence of cars failing MoT tests for damaged coil springs and cars having to have broken coil springs replaced has increased 10-fold (this information provided by the AA, RAC, and motor repair organisations).

My own son has had both front coil springs broken in between December and March, at a cost of £300.

It isn't the last pothole you hit that is always the cause — it is the overall condition of the roads in Bolton the cracks and smaller holes which councillor Chadwick claims don't need attention were dealt with, we wouldn't have the problem.

If repairs were carried out properly, they wouldn't have to be done again a few months later.

The ongoing issue, of course, is that if this council maintained the roads properly in the first place, as they have a legal responsibility to do, then they wouldn't have the problem we have now.
