I wish to express my gratitude to whoever handed in my Tog 24 walking coat and keys to the staff at Rivington tea rooms on Sunday.
I’d had an enjoyable morning walk with my partner over the moors, followed by an excellent “brunch” in the old converted church.
It was only when I got home that I realised my coat was missing. We retraced our movements, thinking we may never see it again. Apparently it had fallen from my rucksack on to the road after leaving the tea rooms.
As one of the staff said, it is lovely to know there are still plenty of people around who are willing to “do the right thing”, to coin one of our Prime Minister’s favourite phrases!
