AN illegal immigrant is facing jail after admitting his part in a cannabis-growing plot.
Thanh Tung Nguyen, a Vietnamese national, was caught red-handed tending to plants when police raided a house in New Chapel Lane, Horwich, on July 31.
About 150 plants were growing under lights and 10 stones of the drug had been harvested and packed in to bags.
In total, police estimated the value of the haul at £120,000.
At Bolton Magistrates Court on Friday, Nguyen, aged 33, of New Chapel Lane, changed his plea to guilty after earlier denying charges of producing a controlled drug.
He will be sentenced at Bolton Crown Court on August 31.
