AN appeal has been launched to find a missing parrot last seen in Horwich.
The plea has been issued by vets Vetcare, which has branches in Tonge Moor and Leigh, for the return of the Quaker Parrot which went missing from Lee Lane last week.
The post on Facebook said: "He may look dishevelled by now as he has been out in the wind and rain for a week, which being a pet he is obviously unaccustomed to.
"If anyone sees him, his owner would be extremely grateful if you could try to catch him and contact Rosanne at our Bolton surgery who will handle matters from thereon in.
"He may be able to be coaxed down from a tree with banana as he will most likely be very hungry by now."
Anyone with information should call 01204 526 936.
