WE thought our readers would enjoy casting their eyes over these two photographs.
The top picture was taken in 1964 and shows Derby Street in Daubhill.
The style of pram and the vehicles give away the date of the photograph as do the shops in Derby Street which no longer exist.
Although it is a busy scene it is not anywhere near as hectic as it is today.
The other photograph shows St Helens Road, Daubhill, and this picture was taken in August 1975.
By the seventies the scene is busier although, again, nowhere near as busy as it is these days.
This is a particularly interesting photograph as you can see right down St Helens Road and into town — and to the countryside beyond.
Again the shops we can see here are no longer in existence.
Do you have memories of Daubhill?
We would love to hear them.
