LAST week’s photograph proved a fairly easy one for people to recognise.

It was, of course, Hotel Street, in Bolton town centre — a familiar spot to many of us, especially those of us who work nearby.

Of course, the Bolton Evening News offices used to be in the next street to Hotel Street.

Correct answers came from George Horrocks, David Strickleton, Stephen Ashcroft, Vinny Sheridan, Marjorie Armstrong and Shirley Murray.

So what about this week’s mystery picture? Do you know where this was taken?

The caption on the back of the print says: “A row of neat terraced houses.”

But where was this row of neat terraced houses?

It was taken in 1978 and we are assuming the row is still there.

Perhaps you live there and know all about the area.
