THIS week we bring you a bumper four-animal edition of Pet of the Week.
Top left is West Highland terrier, Susie, who belongs to Renate Openshaw, from Little Lever.
The seven-year-old is a rescue dog, who used to be very frightened as she was abused and used for breeding.
Thanks to Renate’s care over the last 18 months, she’s now a happy, healthy hound.
Looking festive is Petal, who was rescued from becoming veal at 12-weeks-old Alana Norris.
Alana, 42, is originally from Westhoughton but moved to France in 2015 where she owns holiday homes.
Petal is among a veritable Noah’s Ark on Alana’s farm, which also features peacocks, chickens, five dogs, four sheep, four goats and a cat.
Kim Johnson sent us the picture of telly addict, Trixie.
The Bolton resident loves to watch television and refuses to sit on the floor – preferring to perch on a piece of paper, cushion or even somebody’s shoe. The clever girl has also mastered the art of opening any door.
Looking cool in his cap is Chorley Heath Dixon – sent to us by reader, Diane Dixon.
