THIS rather splendid old photograph from our extensive archives show a view that many of our readers will recognise.
Probably most of you will not need the information but for anyone unsure this is St Helens Road looking down the road and into Bolton town centre.
Bolton Town Hall clock can be seen in the distance on the left hand side.
It is a very busy scene but no where near as busy as it is today.
We are unsure of the church on the right hand side or when this picture might have been taken.
If anyone can help us we would love to hear from you.
Daubhill, which is where this picture was taken, is a fascinating district and we know there are very many different versions of why the area got the name.
Perhaps some of our older readers can help with that too.
If you have any information or have lived in Daubhill for many years we would love to hear from you.
