FEATHERED friends can still be found at the location of this week’s mystery picture.
The birds may be the descendants of pigeons found in this town centre scene, which was snapped by our photographers in 1965.
However, the view may be very different today with redevelopment of the centre of Bolton constantly changing the landscape.
The church spire in the background may give some readers a clue to this location.
Last week’s picture was also taken in the town centre and did not fool many readers.
Mr DT Stickleton wrote to correctly identify it as a shot taken from the end of Wood Street looking towards Silverwell Street and Churchgate.
Bolton Parish Church, the distinguished place of worship and the burial place of the town’s famous son, Samuel Crompton was just out of sight on the right.
