A 1,200 strong procession marched through Bolton 50 years ago in a demonstration to stress to the world and the people of Britain that the Ukraine was still an oppressed country.
Led by the Lancashire branches of the Ukranian Youth Association they went to the Victoria Square war memorial where they laid a wreath in tribute.
