THIS week we feature a scene we believe will puzzle some of you but will be familiar to others.

While some of the pictures we use we know will be instantly recognisable there are others that are going to test some some of you who perhaps have not travelled as widely as others.

This week’s Where is This is not in Bolton or any of the surrounding districts but is in a town that was once linked to Bolton.

There will be people who lived here before moving into the Bolton borough and others who perhaps visit this town which looks a little different today although not unrecognisably so.

The monument, we believe, is a give way to where this junction is.

This is a busy little roundabout today and the roads around here are always packed with traffic as they were in 1964 when this particular photograph was taken. If you know where it was ring Gayle McBain on 01204 537269 or email gayle.mcbain@nqnw.co.uk and we will include as many readers as possible next week.
