LAST week’s photograph was easily recognised by a number of our readers.

It was Hatfield Road park.

“It would appear to be a monument to celebrate the opening of Hatfield Road Park in 1912,” says Steve Maslivec.

This was known as the Cinders Park, according to Karen Yates who says she had “many a happy day playing there”.

It is Hatfield road with Hatfield park in the forefront in the Brownlow fold area of Halliwell.

Graham Chadwick lived in this street, in the 1990s he says and adds that his daughter and her friends were always climbing on the monument.

Moira Morris got the answer right as did Sharon Lomax, George Horrocks, Nora Fielding, Jack Lowe, Jean Torkington and Stephen Walsh. Some of you have very fond memories of playing in the park.

So how about this week’s picture — do you know where this was taken?
