LONG before Frozen had every child belting out 'Let it go!', the story of The Snow Queen had youngsters enjoying a big freeze.
The classic fairytale – retold in the Disney hit – brought a touch of magic to Turton back in 1982.
Every year Bolton enjoys a plethora of pantomimes and that year it was the turn of the snow-set tale.
With backs of glitter and sheets of white, St Anne's Church Turton Youth Theatre Group recreated the magical icy world inhabited by the Snow Queen.
Pictured are five little icicles of the human variety who showed off their long glittering nails to The Bolton News.
Pictured are Mandy Wrigley, aged 10, Helen Turner, aged nine, and Caroline Lear,, Rachael Allsop, and Emma Breakspere, all aged 10.
The show ran for a week back in February of that year at the church in Chapeltown.
