A NEW Tesco Express store in Westhoughton has created 24 new jobs.
The store in Manchester Road will open its doors on Thursday, April 3. New staff are currently in training prior to starting work.
Store manager Tony Munro said: "It's great to see people taking up a career with Tesco. We offer a complete and comprehensive training programme to support both full and part time workers as well as the added convenience of flexible working hours."

The store will offer customers a wide range of products including convenience foods, such as fresh produce, snacks and ready meals, and everyday essentials. There will be an in-store bakery, as well as non-grocery items including health and beauty and newspapers and magazines.
The Tesco Express will open at 8am on April 3 and will then open from 6am to 11pm seven days a week. Local businesses submitted a 379-signature petition against the Tesco Express, when the project was announced last year, fearing they could lose trade.
