Beat-Herder is back for its 11th year.

A weekend of beats and barminess is taking place in the Ribble Valley, with thousands flocking from across the North West and beyond.

Manchester rock legends James, who replaced former headliners Primal Scream, are set to take to the stage to headline Friday night.

If dance music is your bag then head to The Fortress - one of the most exhilarating stages at Beat-Herder - which will host BBC Radio 1 DJ B.Traits in the Friday headline slot.

Other acts include include folk-pop troubadour and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Donovan, Swedish indie pop band Miike Snow, reggae giants Chronixx & Zincfence Redemption and German house maestros Booka Shade.

Todd Terje will be playing his infectious Norwegian disco live in his Sunday main stage headline slot, while beat-boxer extraordinaire and production whizz Beardyman will invite MCs Leen and Serocee to make a brand new album live, inspired song titles made up by the audience.

Acid house and techno veteran A Guy Called Gerald and co-founder of avant-dubstep label Skull Disco, Appleblim will play Trash Manor.

Weather-wise and it looks like the rain is with us until Sunday when it should hopefully brighten up. Don't forget your wellies!
