THE organisers of International Guitar in Bolton are welcoming a special performer for an exclusive solo recital next month.
World-renowned Chinese guitarist Xuefei Yang will be taking to the stage in Bolton Parish Church on Wednesday, October 12.
Titled ‘From Bach to Brazil’, her spectacular programme is part of the 70th anniversary recital for Manchester Guitar Circle and will take the audience on a journey from the magnificent Lute Suite No.4 by J.S. Bach to the stylish Bossa Nova idiom of Antonio Carlos Jobim.
The evening will also feature a guest spot by locally-based musicians, guitarist Jon Gjylaci and percussionist Mike Walker.
The performance starts at 8pm at the venue in Silverwell Street. Admission is £8, with discount tickets available for students aged 16 and under.
