SOME of the biggest names in house, bass and garage are preparing to raise the roof of the Macron Stadium later this month.

Chart topping stars and fan favourites such as Wiley, Manchester’s own Bugzy Malone, Redlight and Low Steppa will all be performing at the big club night in Bolton on January 28.

The night is being 'curated' by Bass Jam and will take place at the Bolton Whites Hotel in the Macron Stadium which can hold up to 3,000 people.

Paul Holliday, head of marketing and communications at Bolton Whites Hotel, said: “We’re delighted to be a part of Bass Jam’s biggest event with huge names involved as part of an impressive bill.

“It’s certainly an evening that isn’t to be missed. We’ve hosted events similar to this and they’ve always been well received.

“We really can’t wait for January 28 and for everything to get started.”

The event will begin at 9pm, and clubbers will enjoy performances throughout the night and into the morning with the event finishing at 5am.

It is being run in tandem with another Bass Jam club night in Birmingham, where fans can see acts at the Q Club.

A select handful of the acts, including Wiley, will be playing at both events, and will be rushing along the M6 motorway to perform at both venues on the same night.

Mr Holliday added: “It’s not unusual within the music industry for performers to play in different locations on the same night, within hours of each performance.

“The hotel and stadium is perfectly located just off the M61, meaning that events of this kind are possible for Bass Jam to get straight on the motorway to entertain the next crowd; every box is ticked from audience capacity to location.”

Headliner Wiley is considered the pioneer of Grime music, a rapidly growing genre within the UK, alongside names such as Dizzee Rascal.

Wiley, who has just announced that his forthcoming album will be his last, had a number one single with Heatwave. Also high on the ticket is Manchester’s own MC Bugzy Malone, who has been described as pivotal in the expansion of the urban scene outside London.

Other artists set to play at the occasion include DJ Zinc, DJ S.K.T, Mistajam, 99 Souls, Kideko, Jamie Duggan, Brian Murphy, Just Jorge, as well as many more supporting acts.

This marks the second time the Macron Stadium has hosted the Bass Jam night.

The stadium has welcomed bands including Scouting for Girls, Reverend and the Makers and From The Jam and singers like Brit Award-winner Lemar and soul sensation Mica Paris.
