He’s the cheeky chappy who makes his fans’ hearts skip a beat.
And Olly Murs certainly had the crowd at Haydock Racecourse dancing the night away, despite the heavens opening as soon as the 33-year-old stepped on stage.
His high-energy pop set followed an afternoon of racing at the Newton-le-Willows racecourse on Friday night.
A sea of ponchos and umbrellas flooded the area in front of the stage as the rain did nothing to stop the thousands enjoying a great night of music.
Olly, who came runner up on the 2009 series of ITV’s The X Factor, entertained with a storming set of his hits.
You forget just how many catchy songs he has released, treating the audience to the likes of Wrapped Up, Please Don't Let Me Go, Heart Skips a Beat, Troublemaker, Dear Darlin and Dance with Me Tonight.
At one point, he was even joined on stage by a dancing steward who the Essex lad hailed the ‘star of the show’.
😂😂brilliant night! You guys were awesome and especially Darryl!!

The singer looked genuinely delighted to be there and even had some lovely words for his fans, telling them: “You took the guy from Essex and brought him here to Haydock so thank you!”
As well as his own hits, Olly also treated the crowd to KC & The Sunshine Band’s That's The Way (I Like It) and Montell Jordan’s 1995 track This Is How We Do It.
Olly’s show brought to a close a fantastic summer of gigs at Haydock Racecourse, following Jess Glynne in June and The Jacksons and Culture Club last month.
I’m already looking forward to who they sign up for the next batch, I just hope I have more luck picking my horses next time….
