THE Monkees' Peter Tork will headline the main stage at this year's Darwen Live event.
With his new, all-American, band he will play many of the songs made famous by the television series.
Also scheduled to perform will be bands including The Bluetones, The Men They Couldn't Hang, China Crisis, Goldblade, Stray and Swill and the Swaggerband.
The festival, now in its ninth year, is being held during the Spring Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday, May 25 and Monday, May 26 from 1pm.
Councillor Michael Law-Riding, executive member for leisure and culture for the Council said: "As well as the outdoor stages many of the surrounding pubs and clubs will be scheduling their own entertainment programme continuing in the evening.
"We also have an additional venue this year in the Knott Street car park so I am confident we will have a weekend to remember."
