ANDREA Glass will appear on country legend Bob Harris’s BBC Radio 2 show this Saturday The singer will play a live set on the show, which starts at 11pm.
The DJ has previously declared himself a fan of Glass, who is currently working on her new album.
It is the follow up to her debut, Stood Under Stars and she will release it herself early next year.
“I parted company with the label I had worked with for Stood Under Stars because I felt they weren’t really promoting it,” she said.
“I’ve done most of the writing for the new album and I’ll be touring it in September and October.”
A special acoustic version of the album will be available at the autumn shows, before a full version is released in January.
“The acoustic tracks will be sent out to the musicians I’m working with in Nashville, who will add their parts,” says Andrea.
“So a lot of the musicians who will appear together on the album may have never even met in real life.”
Andrea was selected to appear as part of One and Other, Anthony Gormley’s Fourth Plinth project in London, but had to pull out due to a prior commitment at Bernfest in Denia, near Valencia.
She will also be playing this year’s Cambridge Folk Festival.
