BOLTON’S annual metal festival, Metal Massacre, will return this year across three stages on Saturday, April 10.
Organisers are already saying that they have managed to scoop the highest-profile metal bands ever to play in the town.
The two main stages - the Metal Massacre stage and the Future Noise stage - will be hosted at the Excel centre, with a third stage at the Alma Inn on Bradshawgate.
music starts on the main stage at 4pm, with a line-up including Cyanide, Driven Apart, Carcinate, Bisonhammer, The Beckoning Silence, Panic Cell and Malefice.
The future noise stage will kick off half an hour later, with acts including Derision, Jacknife Holiday, Strength Of Will Is Mine, Thunderhorse, Ramesses and Charger.
Over at the Alma Inn the line-up features Fall Of Ruin, Sequence Of Malice, Silver Medal Massacre, RSJ and Romeo Must Die, with music starting at 4.45pm.
