FOLLOWING on from the release of the box-set ‘Genesis Live 1973 – 2007’, this release concludes the extensive release programme by Virgin/EMI of the Genesis catalogue.

This 5 DVD set contains all the live releases with new sound mixes making them clearer and more spectacular than before – and for good measure includes the ‘Three Sides Live’ and ‘The Mama Tour’ for the first time on DVD.

‘Three Sides Live’ was filmed during the band’s 1981 tour and this DVD contains seven full-length audio tracks which are not included on the visual portion.

‘The Mama Tour’ was filmed in Birmingham in 1984 and includes all the singles from the ‘Genesis’ album such as ‘Mama’ and ‘Illegal Alien’.

Highlights of this concert includes a sixties medley and the DVD release has an added bonus of ‘The Making Of The Mama Album’, a home movie filmed by Phil Collins.

‘Live At Wembley’ was filmed during the Invisible Touch’ tour of 1987, and ‘The Way We Walk’ was filmed at Earl’s Court in 1992.

There is also space in the box for the DVD of the ‘When In Rome’ DVD of 2007 (please note that the DVD is NOT included.

There is a host of extras, but be warned that the extras that came with the original DVD release of ‘The Way We Walk’ haven’t made it into this box-set.

A bonus disc contains a 1991 updated version of the VH1 ‘Behind the music’ documentary of the band which was originally broadcast ten years ago.

All the featured concerts show Genesis at their best, confirming their incredible consistency of musicianship and showmanship.

Not as expensive to buy as you might think, but it’s worth every penny.
