THE Flaming Lips have been announced as one of the headline acts for this year’s Parklife Weekender, in Manchester.
The band, who last year played a triumphant concert at Jodrell Bank, will co-headline with urban artist Dizzee Rascal.
The psychedelic Omaha rockers will play the Platt Fields festival on Saturday, June 9, while on Sunday, June 10 Bonkers hitmaker Dizzee will take to the stage.
Also announced for the event are Noah and the Whale, Kelis, DJ Yoda, The Cuban Brothers, Chic ft Nile Rogers and Krysko, all set to play on the Saturday, while on the Sunday Dizzee will be joined by Labrinth, Azealia Banks, De La Soul and others.
Acts playing the Now Wave stage include Crystal castles, Tom Vek and The Rapture.
