Theatrical pupils are top of the class

RADCLIFFE amateur theatre group St Thomas' AODS will be joined on stage by pupils from local schools including All Saints School, in Whitefield, St Monica's RC, in Bury and Philips High School, in Whitefield, for their production of Oliver.

More than 20 school children will take part in the show, which runs at Radcliffe Civic Suite from April 30 to May 3.

Pat Fountain deputy head from All Saints School said: "Some of the pupils who are taking part in the production are studying GCSE Performing Arts at school and are finding it really helpful in support of these studies.

"On top of that it is giving the kids somewhere to meet and something to do, which is obviously a good thing."
