Asda’s hunt for child stars
12:34pm Thursday 10th September 2009 in What's On
Does your child have the face of a star? Then Asda in Horwich is looking for you.
Children aged between five and 11 are needed for a competition to launch this year’s Halloween range — and five lucky winners will get the chance to appear as a billboard star.
And, the best bit for the little ones is that they’ll be able to keep their outfits. For any little fashionista that’s better than sweets. It’ll save parents cash in the long run too.
Aubrey Swift, general store manager at Asda Horwich said: “Halloween is one of our biggest events of the year. This year, we thought we’d give local children the chance to be part of our Hallowe’en advertising campaign. After all, what better way could we showcase the Asda Horwich Halloween range than by using local faces?”
To be in with a chance parents should send their contact details, child’s name, school and age on the reverse of a full length picture to Sarah-Jane Milne, Ground Floor, 54 Timber Bush, Edinburgh, EH6 6QH.
Alternatively parents can email a picture and details to firstname.lastname@example.org. Parents have until next Wednesday to submit their child’s entry.
The winning models will be invited to a studio to be photographed professionally for the advertising campaign.
The photoshoot will take place next Saturday. For more details contact Sarah-Jane Milne on 0131 553 3328 or 07841 279846.
