Stars indulged their sweet tooth and fondness for fashion this week as a new chocolate, complete with designer jewellery goody was launched in Selfriges in Manchester. Jenny Minard went to see what all the fuss was about.

We all love a bit of Cadbury’s, and a collaboration with one of the UK’s hottest fashion brands, PPQ had me putting down my gym equipment and indulging in a pre-Christmas treat.

Coronation Street stars Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre), Graeme Hawley (John Stape) and former cobbles cutie Rupert Hill who played Jamie Baldwin were also in on the act on Tuesday, dressed in their finest to party (and DJ) the night away.

Fashionista Michelle stole the show dressed in Philip Armstrong couture from the 2010 spring/summer collection and high street favourites, Topshop peep-toe boots.

She did admit that she is just at home in her tracksuits. She said: “I love casual clothes. I love my leggings and my Ugg boots.”

Michelle, aged 22, who regularly shops in vintage shop Rags to Bitches in Manchester, said she loves a good rummage in her local charity shop and is really into pearls at the moment. “My top tip is pearlessence (.co.uk). It’s great for accessories,” she said. KOKO by Cadbury’s is a new milk chocolate filled with a truffle centre — yum. And to celebrate the launch, PPQ has created two exclusive lucky charm pendants (a cat and a heart) attached to the handbag shaped gift box. The pendants are available only with a box of the chocolates.

Just 750 have been made so you’ll have to be quick and rush down to Selfridges to nab yours.
