Parka

£60, Open

Michael knows a parka is a Manchester classic and this pewter grey number means he doesn’t have to compromise style for comfort, as it is guaranteed to keep him warm while still looking super stylish. “Our entire collection of parkas have been doing incredibly well – they have been flying off the shelves,” he says. “They cost between £40 and £80 so are really reasonably priced. The one I am wearing is one of a large collection – we sell lots of different styles.”

Skinny jeans

£25, Open

Black skinny jeans are the ultimate wardrobe staple and Michael says his can be worn with anything to give an instantly stylish look. He says: “I have got quite a few pairs these Open skinny jeans, they wear well. I have lived in mine and they still look exactly the same as when I first got them.” Open’s denim collection starts at £20.

T-shirt (just seen)

“Open stores have a really fresh and simplistic approach – it is how menswear shopping should be,” Michael says. “We still have the trend areas, but most of the clothes are separated by department.” Inspired by the great outdoors, his green short-sleeved crew neck tee features an unusual mountain print.
