PREPARE for Bolton's youngsters to descend into a Frozen frenzy as Disney favourites Anna and Elsa skate into the region for the first time.

Tickets are now on sale for the action-packed spectacular — Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment — at the Manchester Arena from October 14 to 18.

It will feature four fun-filled Disney stories with beloved characters from Cars, The Little Mermaid and Toy Story 3, along with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and the stars of Frozen.

Audiences will enter the fantastical wintery world of Arendelle with the royal sisters from the Academy Award-winning animated film.

Anna, a girl with an extraordinary heart, embarks on an epic journey with the hilarious snowman Olaf and rugged mountain-man Kristoff to find her sister, the magical Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in an eternal winter.

Producer Nicole Feld said: "Our re-creation of Arendelle and the visual splendour on the ice sets the stage for the magical transformation from summer to winter.

“While it might seem obvious that Frozen is well suited for the ice, this Disney On Ice production will touch audiences emotionally through innovative show elements and world-class skating.”

In Radiator Springs, life-size Cars characters — Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater and the crew — take their high-octane personalities to the ice.

Featuring custom-made animatronics, their eyes and mouths move with every twist and turn on the frozen highway.

Producer Kenneth Feld said: “Worlds of Enchantment connects classic and new Disney stories.

"Audiences will be blown away in Radiator Springs when they encounter the unforgettable crew of animated cars, built to scale and live on ice.

"They will see their all-time favourites like The Little Mermaid and Disney Pixar’s Toy Story 3 and discover a story full of action, magic and unforgettable characters with Frozen."

To produce Worlds of Enchantment, the Feld father-daughter duo has called upon the talents of a creative team including Jay Smith who has directed numerous Walt Disney World shows, parades and events, including the opening of Disneyland Hong Kong.

Patty Vincent began her career at Feld Entertainment as a skater and has advanced in the company to become the character development director for all touring Disney On Ice productions.

Jerry Bilik, who was involved in the development of Disney On Ice at its inception, has arranged music for a number of television series including Starsky and Hutch and Charlie’s Angels.

Choreographer Sarah Kawahara, a two-time Emmy Award-winning choreographer and Disney On Ice veteran, directed the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

Choreographer Cindy Stuart's previous work includes collaborating with Olympic Gold medallist Robin Cousins on a number of projects.
