I’ll Get My Man

St Vincent’s ADS

St Vincent’s Church Hall, Rutherford Drive

ST Vincent’s ADS' latest production, I’ll Get My Man written by Philip King, is full of farcical comedy that keeps the audience guessing at what will happen next.

Set in the lounge of the local vicarage, in the small village of Stebbington-Fawley, this production, directed by Emily Sung, gives society stalwart Howard Clare another opportunity to display his talent at reading a character and making it his own.

His interpretation of the Reverend Arthur Humphrey was excellent.

He bumbled his way through one dilemma after another to the dismay of his over-bearing sister, Harriette, played convincingly by Ann Campbell. Debbie Eustace provided another comedy performance as Mrs Carter, the housekeeper at the vicarage, who also had a fixation on the reverend's TV star/pop sensation nephew, Peter (Venture Man) Graham, played admirably by Scott Alker.

Plenty of laughs ensued as we saw these characters get into all sorts of tricky situations.

With Maureen Clare, Mark Bradley, Trisha Shorten, Kim Toth and Bert Halliday in supporting roles, the audience was treated to another successful production by this very talented society.
