A HUGE cast of youngsters were the main stars of a big Bolton pantomime production.

Pictured are just some of a cast of 90 who were appearing in a ‘mammoth’ staging of Snow White.

Taking place at Astley Bridge Theatre Church, 98 children arrived for auditions at the venue back in the summer of 1995.

However, only 70 made the cut and were chosen to take part in the show which hit the stage in November.

With the adult cast, plus backstage staff, the numbers of those involved reached more than 100.

Anne and Geoff Collins directed the show and started rehearsals in in July, taking place three times and week until it opened.

A report at the time also noted that Anne was in for a busy few months, continuing her drama workshops through the summer while also managing the huge cast and crew.
