A BURY pub has reopened after an extensive six-figure transformation.

The Paper Mill, in Roach Bank Road, Pilsworth, celebrated its official reopening yesterday with a special launch event attended by the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Dorothy Gunther and invited guests.

The guest were welcomed to the new venue with a fizz reception and a showcase of delicious dishes and desserts from the new menu, by general manager Nick Bridwell and his team.

Councillor Gunther, said: “I’m thrilled to have officially opened the Paper Mill here in Pilsworth. It’s great to see large investment in the area which creates local jobs.

"The restaurant is a fantastic venue that I am sure will be loved by the people of Bury and beyond.”

The Paper had closed its doors for refurbishment in January, and the pub's interior has since been radically overhauled.

Mr Bridwell said: “We were delighted that Councillor Gunther could join us to celebrate the opening of the Paper Mill. It is such an exciting time as we welcome guests, both new and old, through the doors.

“Our brand-new pub restaurant offers something for everyone. We are all about enjoying great service, food and drinks in a friendly, relaxed environment within the local community.

"The new surroundings make you feel like you are at home and we offer full-service at your table, letting you sit back and relax as soon as you walk in – we will do the hard work.

"We are also taking bookings for our new private room – perfect for meetings and private celebrations.”

The pub's new menu includes a range of modern and classic dishes as well as a special menu, and features meals from £4.99 available all day, everyday.
