THE little black dress is a staple item of most women’s wardrobes.

And for anyone wanting to update the LBD in their life, a website has launched its very own collection featuring a range of 18 frocks to suit all tastes, from classic to sexy or something a little bit different.

Earlier this month, LittleBlackDress.co.uk hosted a launch party attended by fashionistas, including Walkden actress Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva Price in Coronation Street.

Each dress is inspired by classic styles and named after fashion icons such as Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Alexa Chung, with prices ranging from £65 to £120.

Nathalie Gibbins, editor of LittleBlackDress.co.uk, said: “Versatile, flattering and synonymous with timeless style, to this day the LBD remains a girl’s best friend.

“It’s this sentiment that inspired us to launch Little Black Dress, a new premium fashion brand and collection of luxury LBDs that combines our namesake with contemporary design, sumptuous fabrics and unexpected detailing.”

As well as the Little Black Dress Collection, the Manchester-based online fashion retailer sells party dresses in a range of colours and styles, as well as accessories.

Other famous faces who attended the launch event, at Manchester House in Spinningfields, were Hollyoaks actresses Jorgie Porter, Nicole Barber-Lane and Twinnie Lee Moore.
