FEBRUARY does not mean theatre audiences have seen the back of pantomimes just yet.
In Great Lever the classic comedy continues with a family-friendly production of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.
Brought to the stage by S.S. Simon and Jude’s ADS, Ali Baba is an unusual pantomime in which the hero turns out to be the principal girl.
It is one of the stories which can be found in The Arabian Nights but is relocated to Cairo with a dancing camel.
This is also the first show directed by Nicola Walsh , who has been a member of the society for over 35 years. It runs from February 22 to 25 at 7.15pm, matinees 2.30pm on Wednesday and Saturday, at S.S. Simon and Jude’s School, in Newport Road. To book call 01204 520232.
