THERE will be plenty of laughter in store at the Albert Halls tomorrow night as the popular LOL Comedy Club returns with a line up of popular comedians.

Four comics will take to the stage as part of the popular club which is regularly staged in Bolton.

Taking to the stage will be Duncan Oakley who will perform “an infectious mix” of musical comedy and stand up that has seen him become one of the leading headliners in the business.

With an eye and ear for the silly, rude, playful and downright irritating occurrences of life Duncan musters up songs that are designed to make audiences laugh.

A spokesman for the club said: “Duncan has performed for nearly 10 years on the UK and international stand up circuit and an easy confidence and good natured banter make him a regular at all the best venues. Lesser musical comedians hide behind their guitars and use them as a shield but his is definitely a sword as audiences who have been slain with laughter will gladly testify.”

He will be joined by Dave Longley whose towering stage presence and intensity, combined with his cutting wit have made him one of the most popular and controversial circuit comics in the UK. Whether it’s doling out thought-provoking insights or reveling in toilet humour, he is a gifted wordsmith with great audience interaction skills.

He has written and performed four full length festival solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and has also written for 8 Out Of 10 Cats on Channel 4, each one greeted with critical acclaim.

Comic Mark Smith is also in the line up. His television appearances include Russell Howard’s Good News , writing and appearing as a regular in Nick Helm’s Heavy Entertainment and on MTV2.

And comedian Damion Larkin will often improvise his entire set to hilarious effect.

A spokesman said: “There are no genuine comparisons to this man. He is a versatile and creative comedian who always leaves audiences wanting more.

“All line ups are subject to change, but don’t worry, we’ll only replace them with someone just as funny”

The show starts at 8pm start.Tickets are priced £17.50 in advance or £21.50 on the door.
