ADVENTURES: Bolton Health Players perform Ali Baba and his Magic Travels in January 1992
The sultry heat of Arabia brought some much needed warmth to a cold winter's evening in January 1992.
Families enjoyed a performance from of Ali Baba and his Magic Travels, adapted from the popular Arabian Nights folk stories.
The pantomime was performed by members of the Bolton Health Players. The production was their 14th festive production in the Deane School, which is now Ladybridge High School.
The Arabian Nights — otherwise known as the One Thousand and One Nights — is a collection of Middle Eastern folk tales compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age.
