BOLTON Little Theatre staged the inspirational play, The Miracle Worker telling the story of Helen Keller.
The play, by William Gibson, was performed in Bolton in 1971, with the The Bolton News describing the production as very moving as Helen, who was born deaf and blind, with a near lack of lack of language, develops thanks to the help of her teacher, Anne Sullivan.
Helen became the first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Helen was played Annette Holt and Annie Sullivan was played by Anne Mathieson.
The reviewer stated in The Bolton News that the production got "its message over with simple clarity".
