LAUREN Webb will make her debut with SS Simon & Jude’s ADS on February 17 when she takes to the stage as Goldilocks in the society’s pantomime.
Once again local entertainer Mark Daniel is in the director’s chair, with Hughie Brogan as Father Bear, Christine Wynn as Mother Bear and Megan Pimbley, in her first adult role, as Baby Bear.
The society have particularly expressed their thanks to SS Simon and Jude’s School, on Newport Road in Great Lever, who have allowed them to proceed with the show despite a major refurbishment and extensive building programme.
The classic story is the tale of a young girl called Goldilocks whose evil guardian is after her inheritance. She decides to run away from her ancestral home and join a struggling travelling circus.
However, she is forced to hide deep in the forest when her money-grabbing guardian pursues her. There she is befriended by three bears.
Together, can they restore the circus to its former glory and ensure future happiness for Goldilocks?
The show runs until February 20. Tickets cost £4.50 or £3.50 for concessions. To book, ring 01204 520232 or 01204 526165.
