Joe in Salford double bill

BOLTON actor Joe O’Byrne will appear in a double bill of plays running at Studio Salford from March 17 to 20.
The first, The Roots of Love, is inspired by the song What Becomes of the Broken Hearted by Jimmy Ruffin.
Centreing around a man who lost his son as a child, and his relationship with his son’s best friend, this 20 minute piece spans 20 years of friendship between the two men.
The second play, As We Forgive Them is set in America at the end of 2008 as a new President is elected amid the “audacity of hope”.
. For newly elected Democrat Congressman, John Daniels, this should be a time of celebration. Instead he must decide the fate of his daughter’s murderer: should he exact revenge or grant redemption... or both?
