A FESTIVAL of short plays featuring Bolton actors Peter Slater and Will Travis, plus Coronation Street’s Vicky Binns, will run from March 16 to March 27.
The six plays will be performed at Manchester’s Joshua Brooks.
Blackberries and Truncheons, by Peter Kerry, sees a high flying young policewoman receive an awfully big surprise. Andrew Kirk’s I’m Mad Me! explores the world of celebrity, while james Quinn’s Backlash is set in the run up to the General Election when the Backlash Party are set to take on the three major parties. Trevor Suthers’ Shakespeare’s Monkeys will be directed by well-respected television and stage director Noreen Kershaw and S.H.A.G.G. explores what a sex-addicted car mechanic, a Christian virgin and a Russell Brand lookalike all have in common.
Doors open at 6.40pm and the plays start at 7pm. Admission is £5.
